I'm finishing up Changes and just finished up Y the Last Man (I usually like to trade off with one book of a series and then a graphic novel). I might read Ex Machina next (since it is finished) or the Walking Dead. Haven't decided yet. And I feel like I should finish up the Dark Tower or the Wheel of Time series. Choices.... I am really enjoying the Dresden series though. The first two books needed a better editor, but overall it is really good!

Haven't hit that last chapter yet? Hee hee! As for a next choice? I have the latest Wheel of Time book on my list but I don't know if I can recommend the series. I feel like I'm only in it out of habit now. There is too much in the middle books that is just plain useless.... like those crappy episodes of your favorite TV show that "fill out" the season's requisite 22 to 24 episodes. Honestly, I liked Boneshaker by Cherie Priest. Really interesting. It was my first foray into steam punk and I really enjoyed it.

As of this morning I'm still mad at Mr. Butcher. It'll be better once I get Side Jobs, right? Bah! I can't stay mad long. I really really enjoyed the series. Which means the friend who thinks he recommended it will want me to read "A Song of Ice and Fire" next. But I do have Leviathan by Westerfeld somewhere in the "to read" pile. (my to read pile is very large ) I do have the same feeling about the Wheel of Time. I actually am 2-3 books behind in the series. I got slogged down in the winter one and I'd like to kick it off the list because the first few gave me such enjoyment. Sad that it has gone a little down hill. Ah crap. I'm got bogged down in book 9 and the series is at 13? Maybe I'll wait with that one.

Otherwise I'll obsess, create other scenarios and probably write really bad fan fic. Trust me, it is best for everyone this way.

The final short story starts just a few minutes after the end of Changes. But besides that, you get all the fun short stories Jim Butcher wrote for all those anthology series as well as the Thomas centric novella. Good Times....

 Re: What are you reading?
Finished off Terry Brooks' new Shannara book, Bearers of the Black Staff. Surprisingly better than I expected. This latest in the increasing massive series of series feels more like the original Sword of Shannara. There is a grit and urgency to the action with long descriptive passages of the world. It's a good book and surprisingly stands alone with out a screaming need to have ready the other 20 or so Shannara books.
Now.. on to Dreadnaught by Cherie Priest... a sequel to Boneshaker. I'm 5 chapters in and still not sure where the book is going. Of course, I felt the same about Boneshaker until the LAST 5 chapters.

Dreadnaught was really good. So good, I remain on a Cherie Priest kick. I went on to Dreadful Skin and am now on Four and Twenty Blackbirds. These have been excellent stories. Highly recommended.

 Re: What are you reading?
Well I've just finished Ghost Story. I enjoyed it a great deal but can't say much more without spoiling.
I'm now starting on my reread of A Game of Thrones so I can remember what happened before reading a Dance with Dragons.
Cheers
