 Where are you from?
And now I watch all the Europeans breathe a sigh of relief they have something to vote for...
Seriously, I live in Pennsylvania, which is in the northeast of the USA, near the eastern shore. I live about 20 min. outside of Philadelphia, depending on who's driving.
My house is on a GIANT hill and has a giant frikkin' rock embedded in the garage wall*. The backyard has some grass and then some woods, with deer strolling through on occasion and bunnies/squirrels/birds galore. We have easy access to three comic book stores, two independent bookstores, and a garden shop which supplies me with carnivorous plants. (I have many varieties.)
So... where do you hang your hat, Klingon forehead, or H designation?
*They built the house next door first- while they were digging the foundations for this one, they realized that blasting the big ol' rock in the ground would crack the neighboring foundation, so they left it alone. It looks like a meteor crashed into my garage, six feet underground.

Knoxville, Tennessee. Southeast U.S. And, no, I don't have a southern accent, even though I was born and raised here. It helps that my parents are from Jersey. And I don't have a garage with a boulder in it. In fact, I don't have a garage at all. But I do have a room downstairs that is nothing but books. Every wall is covered with full bookshelves.

Little town called Alpharetta, Georgia, Southeast USA. About 30 to 45 minutes North of Atlanta depending on traffic. I -do- have a Southern accent, but I like it. Don't have a garage either, as we' re in an apartment, but we do have the "Geek Gallery". All geeky pics such as an enlarged comic frame from the end of Civil War, and a 16 x 20 reproduction of "Hiro and the Dinosaur" along one wall. That'll probably grow over to another wall post-DragonCon.

I was born.... SON of Fritz, brother of Steph!
OK... had to have that little Run-DMC moment. I was born in Mississauga which is a suburb just west of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I'm a first-generation Canadian as both my folks were born in Germany. I don't think I have an accent but I've been accused of saying "aboot" by some Americans.

 Re: Where are you from?
My computer and DVD & comics collection sit in a small one-room apartment (well one room, a kitchenette and bathroom), on the southwestern outskirts of Roskilde. It's the about third or fourth worst neighbourhood in town and most of my neighbours are elderly, alcoholics, recovering alcoholics, the occasional drug addict, poor students, single mothers, immigrants, the mentally ill and other undesirables. I call Roskilde "the City of Dead Kings" because it's where danes have buried most of our royalty for the last 1000 years, and back in the 12th century it used to be the captial. Nowadays we're mostly a tourist and college town, famous only for the Cathedral and the museum where I work. It may sound a bit bleak, but in the summer this town is one of the most lovely I've ever seen - seen from above (like from a tower or something) it looks like it's in the middle of a forest.

 Re: Where are you from?
Born in Columbia, MO. Grew up and still live around Savannah, GA. This is southeast GA, nowhere near Atlanta. I don't have a garage, but I do have a shed that I cleaned out last weekend. I don't have a southern accent because I grew up moving around with my dad, GI Joe. I have incorporated the word y'all into my vocabulary, because I really like it.
