It SOOOOO bites that Australian Cons have not really got the idea of getting the gaming companies involved. We never get fun stuff like this!

Other Than Gencon (which is in Brisvegas, and nowhere near me), most of the games run at Australia Gaing Con's are vanity, systemless stuff. Seriously Clique-ey stuff.

Gencon excluded, I'm yet to see a game at an Australian Con that is actually run (or even sponsored by) a gaming company. It's even gotten to the point that, at a friend's house last weekend when some organisers were asking around for games for an upcoming con, I suggested that almost every gaming company has free demo adventures on their website, I got stared at like I had just gutted their firstborn children or something.

I've got sort of the same feeling as Corvus with Danish cons. Many games are systemless/systemsimple homebrews, with no relations to any published game or company. But then again we are too small a market to merit attention from any game company.
On the other hand, I don't like the Americans using the words like "business" about what is - and should be - a hobby.
