 Re: Game Of Thrones
I liked it. I had a few ticky tack problems but nothing major. I think casting of Arya, Bran, Tyrion, Eddard, Benjen, Daenerys, Drogo, and Robert were perfect. Sansa, Cersei, Jaime, and Kaitlin bothered me a bit. They also seemed to try a bit TOO hard (pun slightly intended) to demonstrate that this is an adult show. Bare breasts are not a big deal. Bare breasts zoomed in on while restricting the faces and legs of DANCERS is ridiculous. They lost an opportunity to show CULTURAL differences by stepping down to base titillation... again.. pun intended. But over all, I give it a solid B+. It gets high marks for the cliffhanger ending... the things I do for love.

I will preface this by saying I haven't read the books. I've tried several times but just get bored and move on to other things. Unfortunately, that's exactly how I felt with the show as well. The production values are spectacular and the acting was just fine. It just felt too much like a soap opera to me. I'll keep getting episodes for the wife, but I'll probably pass.
