So, what'd you think? I loved it! It's not a page for page copy of the comic and I wasn't expecting it to be but there were moments. It was visually great looking and they didn't hold backon the gore and violence. Can't wait to watch more and apparently that's the case for everyone else.

Ratings for The Walking Dead were fantastic!

I really enjoyed it my own self as well, and I've never read the comic (sorry, just not that big a Robert Kirkman fan). But with that said, this has me curious to try the comic now. Valharic said it's not page for page, but still is this the same feel as the comic?

I watched it last... lovely way to avoid the nearly omnipresent political crap. Never having read the comics, I didn't know what to expect and was delighted. SOME of the story points were predictable but not all of them.. nor the scope. Great show.... can't wait for the next episode.

As a fan of the comic, organic changes were made... they pretty much all worked. I know some things that should be happening and I cannot wait to see what they do with it.

Good... GOOD stuff

I enjoyed it, but there were a few times in the episode that had some CGI that was both awesome and horrible in the one shot. In the scene with the half a girl crawling through the park, it looked really good, but the blood splatter looked extremely fake. There was at least one other scene that was like this as well.

Really liked last nights episode. Glenn was a fun character and I really like the way he was portrayed here. His outward fear that's on the edge of sheer terror seems to be more vocal than it was in the comics.

I also saw some things that allude to future events that aren't neccesarily in the comics. But if I'm reading it right here's what I think.

Spoiler! :
I think if the dude they handcuffed on the roof survives, it'll be because he cut his own hand off with the hack saw, to break free. I think that'll set up Rick loosing his hand down the road as an act of revenge.

I gotta say, I'm digging the hell out of this... very much considering ordering the massive 1000+ page compendium very soon...

It may be down in viewers but thats still some damn good ratings, considering the time it's on, and for those of us in AZ who don't change times for DST it's on an hour later....
