 Furry comic/pron?
So, the patrons of my library get interesting things. One of them has been getting the Thundercats in trade paperback. I started reading them when they came back because I enjoyed the cartoon when I was small. However, I never knew the comic books were basically furry porn. Boy has the cartoon changed since I was a kid.

Looks like pretty standard comic book fare.

I was looking at this hierarchy chart... I didn't think furries had anything to do with geek, but I guess I was wrong. And I know what erotic furries are, but what are regular furries, I thought they were one and the same?

That's like saying all fans of anime/manga draw porn or dress up in cosplay just to have sex as/with their favorite characters. Every fandom has extremities that end up in the spotlight when really they are far from the majority. That being said, the "furry" thing is really just an internet term for the part of the cartooning society that features cartoon animals. Such characters have been cornerstones of the animation industry since before ANY of us were born, so it is almost heartbreaking to see it get a bad label by being associated with perverts and their more "unique" fetishes. Cartoon animals are a classic style of character design and the people who draw them should not be branded as perverts unless they specifically draw erotic art. This very topic is actually what I am basing my Master's thesis on, so you can get quite a bit out of me with this debate. It particularly hits home with me not just because I draw these supposedly "furry" characters myself, but because my freshman dorm room was vandalized by retards who only saw that I had cartoon animals in the front window. It's a record that I've always wanted to have the chance to set straight.

Wow, sounds like it will be an interesting read, are you going to post it somewhere on the net once submitted?
