I haven't read any of these but I've heard good things about "Cat Burglar Black."

I guess I'll be busy for awhile :)

I liked the artwork in Cat Burglar Black, but the writing was as clunky as the weird title.

I like Jellaby and Baby Mouse, Bayou was gorgeous but confusing, I don't know much of the other ones.

I would aslo highly endorse the Flight series- many of the stories have no words (making them perfect for younger 'readers') and the array of artwork and styles makes it hard to not find something to like.

I just read Mouse Guard: Fall 1152 to my 7-year-olds, and they loved it! The art really is gorgeous and dense, and the stories simple but charming. Good for this 41-year-old, too. Gonna buy the sequel (Winter 1152) next.

Have you considered getting the Mouse Guard roleplaying game?
It's supposed to be kid-friendly.

I'm actually gonna take a look at it, though more for my benefit than theirs!
