 Since this seems to be a slow day on the boards, I thought I'd show up for a little public humiliation

I wrote a very short story to introduce some player characters (well one, mostly) in a Dresden Files game I'm GM'ing.

If anyone wants to waste a few minutes, I'm actually sort of proud of it.

That was quite a fun story, Onkel! I'd love to find out how game turned / is turning out.

YAy! I entertained someone!

It seems to be going quite well.
A research lab in the University of Copenhagen unexpectedly blew up while examining a sample from a large boulder, which was excavated in the 1920s at one of the most important archaeological sites in Denmark.
As a result of the explosion a mysterious shockwave of magical energy and intense emotion (primal rage mostly) swept out from the lab, and being felt throughout Scandinavia and much of northern Europe.
The player characters for different reasons are called upon to investigate the explosion:
* Robert Raith, current head of House Raith (of the White Court vampires) in Denmark gets a number of angry phone calls from other upset Emotional Vampires throughout Europe, instructing him to deal with this phenomenon.
* Stefan (the hero of the story you read), is Robert's personal bodyguard and wheel-man... so he doesn't get a say ^_^
* Lykke Jespersen is a forensic pathologist and investigator, working for Denmarks answer to the Dresden Files' Special Investigations unit - only the Danish version has only three members. Since her boss is busy cleaning/covering up suicidal psychics after the shockwave passed through, she has to do all the investigating herself.
* And finally the newly appointed Warden for Scandinavia Brandon Taylor (designed to be the Canadian Warden-trainee that Harry Dresden makes fun of in one of the books), whose job this sort of magical disturbance is.

So far the "heroes" have discovered the involvement of some rather unusually intelligent Ghouls (who seem to feed on dessicated corpses instead of raw meat), as well as a strange Supremachist group with mind controlling Emo sorcerers among their number, and the peculiar fact that the rock (which has now been stolen from the museum it was kept in) seems to be made up of fossilized Ectoplasm. They've also run into two old wizards who are somewhat the worse for wear after having dealt with that same rock during WWII, when the Nazis had stolen it.

At the moment the PCs are trying to get some information from a high ranking biker gang leader (biker gangs are Denmarks answer to organized crime) who are supposed to be working for Robert Raith.
Next session they will recieve a rather ominous declaration of War from the Emo Sorcerer... ^_^

If you click around on the Wiki where the story was posted there are a number of possibly interesting characters and other stories associated with the game... and another game run by a different gm...
