I'm sorry but you do not speak for me here. My understanding of God is very different. I'm glad you are happy in your faith, though!

Same here. As I've said before, each different church teaches something different.

Strongly agreed here. As I said before, religion is subjective to those who follow their beliefs and faith, regardless of denomination.

I was going to interject something insightful here, but I choose to censor myself due to discomfort with the subject.

The way I figure it, no matter what you choose to call him, there's only one God.

On the other hand, there are maybe a dozen religions subdivided into several hundred denominations further subdivided by several million churches all with a different approach.

So who's to blame for divisions and inconsistancy? It ain't the big guy.

So which group has the "right" message? We don't know. Sorry, but we don't. Everyone thinks it's them, usually 'cause they have some book to point to for validation. Trouble is, everybody has a book of some kind, don't they?

To quote the great Sam Kinison.... Jesus has to be in heaven right now freaking out over all the S*** people say he said! Build a water park? I never said that!

The problem with the Christin ex-girlfriend Matthew 7:19 "Every tree that doesn't produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into a fire."

Even though Jesus died for us, we still must grow to be like him by the path laid down in The Bible else-wise Matthew 7:19.

What's even worse, is on the details I agree that Jesus was here; did what he did but, but the back end details are where it gets too hard for me. (God's "only son", I think that he had more, there are books of eastern mystacisim that match what Jesus did but few with out occult knowladge know about them because of the Chinese cultural clensing that destroyed many books of historical value.)

How in the nine hells of asmodeus did a dating topic end up a discussion on god? Talk about hijacking!

I'm with Elf_NFB. This was a very gradual threadjack that was actually based on a very valid post that just turned into a theological discussion. It's probably best to move the discussion to a new thread. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely fascinating to read and everyone's been very civil. It's why I come to these boards. However, it may be time to end the discussion in its current form and get back to the topic.
