 Batman: Arkham City
http://dcu.blog.dccomics.com/2010/08/05 ... me-sequel/Well, the sequel to Arkham Asylum officially has a title. I don't see why Gotham City wouldn't have worked, as any fan would be able to follow the logical progression... but whatever, it's another step closer to this game!

 Re: Batman: Arkham City
Or the whole city goes batty and turns into a virtual asylum?

 Re: Batman: Arkham City
It seems that's the case.
Also, the upcoming covers for game Informer confirm Catwoman's in the game, apparently in a big way.

 Re: Batman: Arkham City
G4 is reporting a leak on the new Arkham City game. I tried to verify the rumor, but was unable to find any other info. So take it with a grain of Internet-salt, but the details are below... Spoilers (maybe) of course:

 Re: Batman: Arkham City
And did you know there was a secret room in the Warden's office in Arkham Asylum that features concept art and a map that reveals Arkham City? I'm a little impressed that they hid it so well that they finally had to tell people it was there.

 Re: Batman: Arkham City
Hang on a second! Arkham is a small university town in Massachusetts, hardly a "city". Gotham is supposed to be in New Jersey or Illinois - did they send all the Batman villains to a psychiatric hospital out of state?

Other than the name, which is just an in-joke reference, there is no connection to Lovecraft's Arkham. Of course, someone who knows better will likely correct this, but that's my understanding.

I was just mixing continuities - there's no asylum in the original Lovecraftian Arkham, only Sefton Asylum 50 miles from Boston is ever mentioned.

 Re: Batman: Arkham City
As far as the game goes, it's going to be almost like No Man's Land, where a part of the city will be walled off for criminals, and renamed Arkham City.
