The Pictars were a Celtic tribe that migrated out of the British isles sometime after the Roman occupation, to the region today known as Hungary where they learned horsemanship from the local tribe. While historically obscure, the tribe have had strong allegiances to the Hungarian royal house, and Pictar heavy cavalry units served in the Hungarian armed forces until the early years of WWI.
