Don't Frel me bro, but while all this geek chic is cute and all, this just seems a bit too... namedrop'y for my taste.

That was just...bad. The only analogy I can come up with is this movement of geek music videos is like contemporary Christian music. Just because it says Jesus in it doesn't change the fact that it sucks and doesn't deserve to be played to torture gitmo prisoners.

It's the same thing with these videos. Sure there are geeky referrences, but the production quality is subpar to say the least. Even Geek and Gamer Girls was lacking. It had hot girls, good lyrics and even a good video. It's just a shame those girls couldn't sing to save their lives. The only way it could have been saved is if they had autotuned the crap out of it (ala Ke$ha).

You don't have to go overboard to get me to like the song or video. Quantity just never replaces quality.

I hold true to this mantra on many things.

We can point out the badness all we want...... this thing is getting played in a few places.
