This is the first ACTUAL role playing session of the campaign... sort of. Last episode had us complete character burning. Tonight, my character, Kol, wakes to the smell of burning wood and has to make a choice.. revenge or save the bar.... I think I do the right thing. Others plan for a party even as Briggs runs into a couger and her daughter, In the end, we all wind up needing to get to a warehouse.

On this episode, my character... Kol... does absolutely nothing... zero.. ziltch... zippo.... Todd couldn't make the game and I really didn't want to cut him out of our next scene which SHOULD be a nice fight sequence. As a result, we get lots of Talathel, Briggs, bad dwarf accents and the spy who missed last week, Ethan. Listen as Briggs runs from the advances of a married lady. Thrill to Talathel being... well Talathel. CRINGE at the latest dwarven accent!

Episode 25... Flames of Gold 6 is ready for all our listeners.

This episode is all about the Fight rules. Todd is back so his elf and my disfigured fighter go looking for a certain dwarf by the name of Thorsbane. We get to use the Bloody Versus rules, start a fire and then head full on into a fully scripted fight. Jeff also harasses me about my aversion to overly hoppy beers and we all sing a little song.

After that, the dwarven doctor and Talathel have a Duel of Wits while Doug's Spy runs around and the magic user finds he doesn't have the right spell.

All this as well as Jeff singing solo while I wish for some vodka to go with the candied orange slices.

I was listening to the Burning Wheel Headquarters guys on the Jennisodes podcast recently. Unfortunately, when given a chance, they didn't mention our podcast as a teaching tool for the system. I mean come on! We demonstrate how NOT to run the game each and every week!

Any way...I've got to tell you... I just love it when my character, Kol, gets to beat up on that annoying elven bard, Talathel. So, I smack him around a bit tonight. There is a bit of a hassle over the axe Kol took from Thorsbane as well as a 70's sitcom scene involving a spy a captain and a dwarven doctor.
