So, not to brag, but I got to go to a special preview screening about a week ago (Aww, who am I kidding? I TOTALLY mean to brag). The media embargo was lifted today in my neck of the woods, so ladies and gentlemen, let me present my advance spoiler-free review of The Avengers.

Ah, I see you've seen that preview clip of Black Widow doing kung-fu in a cocktail dress.

Post Re: The Avengers
Went to see this a few days ago since Australia actually got this earlier than the US ('bout time) and it was great. I thought it tied all the other pre-Avengers in together perfectly.
There is also a prequel comic book called The Avengers - Fury's Big Week which is worth a look. I tink it is digital only and the first issue is free.

I just have one question about the fight at the end for anyone who has seen it.
Spoiler! :
Just after Hulk beats the snot out of Loki, everyone was laughing so hard that I missed what Hulk said straight after it. Anyone remember what he said?

There was also one thing that annoyed me about the trailer
Spoiler! :
was the spoiler in it where Hulk catches Iron Man right at the end. When I saw Iron Man falling, I remembered the scene from the trailer and thought "I haven't seen that yet, Oh Hlk must be going to save him"

I do that with trailers as well... I have figured out a flick or two seeing something and waiting for it.

It was a damn fine time. I am astounded it exists. So many comic books panels on screen. A nice balance of character and action.

My audience laughed at that one part loudly too. That was magical.

I was the only one who squeed at the end.... my mind is racing with Avengers 2 possibilities.
